November Hair Growth *New Ratchet Haircut* +Health Goals!!!
No progress pictues this month.
I did something stupid the other day. I got so tired of the straggly hairs in my sides. I felt like it exaggerated my thinning hair and made me look less feminine and less of a person in general. So I took regular scissors and snipped it off. Only I cut too high and it looks ridiculous. I ended up just swooping that hair to the side to make it a little more stylish and just wait until it grows back out.
No, I have never done drugs. I rarely drink haven't drank in months. All of this was because of my severe anemia, stress and weight loss.
As for my hair growth, I decided maybe I should take more all around shots to see more of my growth. As you know for the past 5 months I trimmed twice. Today, we are going to look at my overall hair growth and honestly, I initially took it bad.
Yup, that is all my hair managed to grow. Granted, I did trim my hair twice in the 5 months prior. My ends felt not only uneven but dry. I am guessing the majority of my hair growth is starting from square one. My hairs that are already shoulder length have been naturally shedding and my shorter hairs are catching up. You can clearly see my hair actually does look more fuller and there is a small amount of growth. Slightly thicker but hey...any improvement is better than none. I will try to refrain from trimming unless absolutely necessary. Because I want my long hair back dammit. I'd say my hair is improving. Also, since my hair is wavy/curly, it does make my growth appear very minimal despite brushing when I took this picture. So yes while it does give the appearance of short and little to no growth, I can honestly say I feel the growth when I run my fingers through my hair. While I still have a way to go, I do feel more voluminous when I feel my scalp. I do try to massage my scale with my fingers. I also suffer from traction alopecia. Almost every day in 2024 I had my hair up in a clip at all hours. When I had my hair down. I could feel not pain but tenderness in the middle of my scalp. As hairs shed, I noticed that middle part is very sparse in growing back to this very day over a year later. Not sure what I can do more about that. When I part my hair from the side, it looks pretty healthy. Needless to say, I have stopped wearing my hair up for the entirety of 2025. Just hoping my hair will restore back.
I must admit, I was hoping my hair would have speedy growth from 5 or 6 months ago but I realize I must have been crazy malnourished and experienced severe hair shedding. I have not been over eating at all but I suspect I have a slow metabolism due to losing a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I am pretty damn poor so it is hard to be able to afford a proper nutrition in my every day life but I will still try to manage with what I got. I am lucky enough to be able to get some of my supplements for free.
Here is what I am currently taking (still):
2 iron (Olly)
2 prenatal gummies
1 biotin
1 omega 3 pill
1 dropper Vitamin B Complex
About an hour or so after breakfast I would take 1 16.9 oz water bottle and add 1 tbsp of collagen and 1-2 tsp and sometimes 1 1/2 tsp depending how I feel and then I shake the water bottle. Often I shake off and on for a while because I notice the collagen tends to clumps. I prioritized the regular magnesium but I ended up running out which resorted me to use the sleep magnesium with melatonin as a last resort. I finally got a deal on Amazon and got 3 cans for free (via fitness walking reward apps i earn gift cards on).
However, last day of October and I am about to finish the quick dissolve biotin tablet. Starting in November I will be taking this again:
CORRECTION. After a brief research, I have decided against taking this biotin until I am done with the Vitamin B Complex liquid dropper. There are too many vitamins in overlap that I will no not risk overdosing on it. Upon closer inspection, there is a lot of Vitamin A and Vitamin B-6 in the prenatals and the liquid. Adding this will absolutely make things in shakers territory so I will wait it out. It will be for the best because that means I get to save a bit more money and stretch out this product even more. I probably got about 2 months worth left in the bottle. Plenty of time to save money on other things!!
